Famous People Homework

We have had some good presentations already for our famous person homework.

Some people have stood up and told us all about their famous person.

Some people have written facts and read them to the class.

Everyone has answered questions from their classmates.

We had four very different famous people and they were all very interesting.

What are we learning?

Preschool Transition

P1/2 have been leaders of learning for the pre-school.

They have all had the responsibility of helping the preschool children to complete activities.

Some of the activities are developing early reading skills.

Whilst the P1/2 class are waiting for their role they work independently on their project folders.

Some of the children practise their reading before they share the story with the younger children.

And sometimes they choose to read them their reading book.

There is usually a name game to complete for name recognition and writing.

P1/2 keep a close eye on things!

They let the preschool children do the activity but they are ready to help and encourage.

Both classes have done very well.

P6/7 Leaders

We had pupils from P6/7 trying their leadership skills with us.

They started by explaining what they were going to do before the warm up.

Then there were skill based activities.

There was coordination and team work challenges.

And to finish off there was stretches.

Everyone enjoyed the lesson.

Internet Safety

For Internet Safety Day we had an assembly to share some of our learning.

P4/5 had been working on the topic in class and were ready to present their work.

They showed us their posters and then each group had prepared a little dramatisation.

There were different safety point from each group.

It was a good way to raise awareness of internet safety across the school.

P4/5 did very well.

Neil Armstrong

P4/5 are learning about space so they thought they would help us learn about a famous person.

They studied Neil Armstrong and devised presentations to show us.

Once they had given us the facts and figures and we had watched a learning clip, P4/5 had activities to do.

There was a quiz first of all then we had a fact file to fill in.

There was a picture of Neil Armstrong to colour and a word search to complete.

It was a good way to learn.

Back in class we made an information page for our big book. We also thought about his famous words and what they meant.
