The Five Senses - Sight

We investigated what it would be like to have no sense of sight.

With blindfolds on we had to guide a partner through the minefield.

We could only use instructions involving turn left and turn right; backwards and forwards by so many steps and we were not allowed to guide them by taking their hand.

There were some almighty big steps taken...  and some very tiny ones!

It was quite scary to trust someone else and it was very difficult not to peek!

If you stood on a mine the whole class erupted with a boom which gave you a fright when you had your blindfold on!

Everyone had a go with their partners.  It showed us how much we rely on our sense of sight and how difficult life would be without it.
