Starting to Write

We have been learning how to recognise, say, hear and write sounds.

We have learnt actions and songs to help us remember what we are learning.

Alphabet boards are used to store the magnetic letters and help us know the alphabet.

The vowels are highlighted in red and we know we need vowels in the words we build.

Once we have built a word, we blend them by tapping our head, shoulders, knees and toes!

Blending is something people seem to click with when they are ready. We will just continue the practice of blending until everyone starts to hear it.

We have had a go at writing out the words we have built ourselves.

Some of us have been challenged to find as many words as possible.

We are beginning to get the hang of it now.

The whole class have been working very well and have been very enthusiastic.
