Hydration Workshop

We had the hydration team in for a visit.  They came along to tell us how important it was for us to drink plenty of water.

They asked the children to guess how much water was in a banana.  There was a lot of different ideas about that!  There was far more than anyone expected.

So we tried to squeeze the water out... but didn't manage it, even when lots of people tried.

We squeezed really hard and shook the banana as hard as we could.

Two people even tried at once, and that didn't even work!

We were told the water was stuck because the it is held in by cells just like in our bodies.

Then there was a volunteer needed for drawing around.

Lots of people had a go at the outline.

Then we took the outline person and put them on the board.

Some more volunteers had to guess how much water was in a human being if they were filled up from their feet like an empty vessel.

We made some good attempts at guessing the amount.

And to finish our workshop we had a little challenge to see if we could drink two water bottles of water every day.

So remember your water bottle every day and we will see if we can manage the challenge.
