Some of the pre-school children from nursery came through to P1/2 to work with our class.
The ideas is to get them familiar with the P1/2 setting and start to work with the other children in a more structured way.
The first thing they did was an early reading activity with some of the P2 children.
Once they had completed the reading activity they moved on to the next group of P1/2 children who were ready to read them a book.
Once they had heard a story, other P1/2 pupils helped them choose the first letter of their name to decorate.
P1/2 were very supportive and welcoming to their visitors.
Then we all went through to the nursery to play. It was super to see some of the learning from P1/2 crossing over into the free play.
Some of the P1 children continued to read with the nursery children and ask them questions about what they were reading.
